Larry; I used the pins that Beau gave me. They are made of aluminum and I ordered some more from the same place that the Scholer chassis came from, but they are made of nylon. I used Automotive contact cement (goop) with some toilet paper as a fiber glass type netting to help hold them in place. I first set up the pins with double stick tape so a I could move them if needed, then glued them to the side of the body. This is a really strong set up, but untried in the heat of battle. I don't know how the nylon pins are going to hold up.

Howie I found some little 1/4" brass plates with a stud in the middle that will work.. I had them in some old tube chassis stuff from the 60's. What I remember from the ones in your car these are real close to be the same, but just made of brass. I used super glue to hold the pins in place then maybe I'll put a little JB Weld around the base of the stud.?? I can just see these blowing off after it hits the wall one good time...lol
Well my car is weighing at 7 1/2 oz.. with complete body.. Howie wasn't that about what yours is? In the ball park?? "LL" :D

Larry; sounds like you found some pins that will work. My car weighs in at 7 and 3/4oz., so you might be right where you need to be. It is easy to add weight if need be.

Larry; call me as soon as you can, leave your ph.#, if I'm not here, as I miss-placed it. There is something in the works you may be interested in. Howie.

Fellow racers; more good news on the new GT1 class. Add these bodies to the group on the first page: Ford Mustang (I do not remember the details, but Larry and Bob have one and the bodies are available from Larry), Toyota 88c LM by Hasagawa, Jaguar XJR-9LM by Tamiya, Sauber Mercedes C9 by Tamiya, Toyota GT-ONE TS020 by Tamiya. PS: I tried to get rid of the post above this one but my computor skills are not good.
